What is single-client representation?

Single-client representation means all of our agents are working with only one buyer and one seller at a time. Our clients get full and undivided attention.

What can I expect from Salix Realty?

The utmost professionalism, and our undivided attention. You will experience the feeling of being the center of our attention, because we believe that is the way it should be.

Who are your clients?

Serving the Metropolitan Washington DC area we have a wonderful diversity of clients with specific needs and also specific sensitivities. When our clients say they “work for the government” we understand what they means and we do everything we can to respect their need for confidentiality. Additionally, the DC area brings people from around the country with specific desires and nuances that makes their time here feel like “home.” Helping these clients find that nostalgic feeling of home is always our joy.

Do you have specific criteria for clients?

The short answer is Yes, but we can talk in more detail in person. Since we practice single-client representation we carefully pick our clients based on their needs, their schedule, and their timeline. If and when we come to an agreement, we work with our clients on creating a serious schedule and timeline to execute their real estate needs. Because our clients are our only clients, they can expect the process to be efficient and expeditious.

When can I expect to hear back from you?

Once you reach out to us, we will follow up with you (in most cases) within 24 hours via phone to schedule a time for us to meet in person and discuss specifics.

How is Salix Realty Different?

When you list a property, or try to find a new home, with a large firm the average agent is working with many different clients at a time. These large firms have “teams” of people trying to keep all of their clients organized and scheduled. Trying to keep track of all these clients is difficult and sometimes problematic.

With Salix Realty the relationship is always one-to-one. If you are looking to sell your home, we will walk with you (and only you) until your home is sold. This gives us the ability to know your property with an in depth knowledge potentials buyers will want to know. We keep you updated and are always easy to reach.

If you are buying a home, we have the ability to block significant amounts of time at your convenience to find the right property for you (and only you).

What is your area of expertise?

As much as we would love to serve the entire Metropolitan Washington DC area, in order for us to serve our clients with single-client representation we limit our geographical space to the area we know best. This area includes north and south of the Route 66 corridor from the Potomac River to the city of Fairfax (Roslyn, Arlington, McLean, Vienna, Fairfax, Falls Church, Oakton, and Great Falls), and the city of Alexandria.

What is expected of me as a client?

We select clients who are serious about either buying or selling a home or property. We expect our clients to be as driven and motivated as we will be from the time we agree to work together.

Where does Salix mean, or where did the name come from?

Salix is the Latin word for Willow, our favorite type of tree.

I hear you are really charitable, tell me more.

We are committed to supporting the communities in which we live. This means supporting the non-profit organizations that act as a safety net for many of our neighbors, or doing what we can to restore the natural environment which we all share.
